Authorities say a 50-year-old woman has drowned in the ocean off a South Carolina beach.Myrtle Beach Police said officers and firefighters were called to the beach around 6:40 p.m. Sunday after someone reported a swimmer in distress.A police report says the woman was dead when she was pulled out of the water in Myrtle Beach.Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Flower told news outlets preliminary autopsy results show the woman drowned and her name will be released after her family is notified.Police continue to investigate the death.
