A former employee with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice is facing charges. Investigators say Anthony Joseph Livingston provided THC gummies to minors at a state juvenile facility.
He's charged with misconduct in office and furnishing contraband in connection with incidents at the Midlands Evaluation and Development Center. Authorities say Livingston turned himself in and has since been fired from his position.
The arrest comes just one week after another former DJJ employee, Ladrea Satterfield, was charged in a similar case.
The Midlands EDC houses juveniles serving long-term sentences for criminal convictions.
