A trio of suspects from the Upstate have been indicted in connection to a deadly shooting. The U.S. DOJ says, the three were involved in a robbery and kidnapping plot across the Upstate and Western North Carolina, last summer.

A federal grand jury has indicted 33-year-old Elisa Rosario and 42-year-old Jeremy Lark of Roebuck, along with 19-year-old Kezayvian Campbell of Greenville. Prosecutors say, the suspects lured a man to Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee under the pretense of a date with Rosario. They then reportedly kidnapped and robbed him before fatally shooting him in Sylva, North Carolina.

Authorities later found the victim’s body and his burned rental car in Spartanburg County. The FBI and Spartanburg Police investigated the case. All three defendants remain in federal custody and face up to life in federal prison if convicted.
