A 5 year old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in the Upstate, Friday. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the child was hit while he was in the roadway on Palomino Drive in Spartanburg County, just before 3:30 that afternoon.
The driver of the SUV that him has been arrested and charged with driving without a license. The boy was pinned under the vehicle, once he was freed, he was airlifted to the hospital.
The 5 year old is said to be in critical condition. He was undergone multiple surgeries and is expected to have another one Tuesday, which also marks his 6th birthday.
