A 20-year-old Greenville man is accused of being the sexual predator-burglar who got into children's bedrooms at two Upstate homes.
Greenville County deputies say Kenneth Wayne Battles III is charged with four counts of first-degree burglary, first-degree assault & battery and two counts of indecent exposure in connection with break-ins at two Simpsonville area homes.
The first of those was reported early Tuesday at on Longstaff Parkway. Battles allegedly touched a child before escaping from a bedroom window. And in the words of the investigative report, "attempted to solicit sexual favors" from a minor in the 2nd break-in at a house on Crowsnest Court.
In that case the adults were alerted. Video of the fleeing suspect reportedly caught on a door-cam. A bond hearing is scheduled for later today. A photo of the suspect is below.
