Two suspects are in custody after being accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in the Upstate, earlier this month. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says the investigation began a couple of weeks ago, when a 13 year old girl was reported missing from a group home.
An investigation led detectives to a home on Strickland Avenue in Anderson, where authorities say they discovered the girl had been sexually assaulted multiple times
31-year-old Daziuan Putman and 28-year-old Jaiz’queze Smith were arrested. Bond has been denied for both men. Smith is charged with 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, Putman is charged with the same crime in the 3rd degree.
