Officials say a hoax call at an Upstate high school has prompted a large law enforcement presence. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says the call came in Wednesday morning reporting an active shooter at Belton Honea Path High School.
Deputies responded immediately and they cleared the school out of an abundance of caution. The Sheriff's Office says no credible threat has been found.
The incident was still under investigation as of 1230PM Wednesday and officials say this is not the 1st hoax call that has taken place.
