A group of state lawmakers have filed a lawsuit against Greenville County over how the County Council passed its most recent budget. State Representative Adam Morgan is one of the legislators involved.
He joined the Charlie James Show Tuesday afternoon to talk about the issue. His 1st criticism was how public input in the budget process was handled by the council.
The suit alleges that the county broke state laws in how they handled the budget. Morgan says the group feels that much of passing the budget and the tax hikes that came with it was not done above board.
Other state legislators joining Adam Morgan in the lawsuit are his brother State Representative Alan Morgan, State Senator Dwight Loftis and representatives Mike Burns and Ashley Trantham.
