Officials say a registered sex offender is facing charges after breaking into a Western North Carolina home, last month. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office says a man broke into to a home in Arden May 22nd while the homeowner was asleep, exposed himself and took things from the home.
Investigators identified the suspect as 46 year old, Terry Lee Banks. The Sheriff's Office says Banks had not verified his address on the registry and that some of the stolen property was recovered. Banks is charged with 1st degree burglary, failure to register as a sex offender, larceny, breaking and entering and indecent exposure.
He's currently being held without bond in Buncombe County.
