In regards to the Amber Alert, the children have been located and are safe. The Suspect, Walter Greene, was taken into custody after deputies received tips concerning the vehicle being driven on Woodruff Road, approaching Hwy 101.
Deputies observed the car just before 1:00pm and followed it until it pulled into a convenience store parking lot, located at 5400 Hwy 101. Moments later, Greene stepped away from the car, with the kids still inside and deputies moved in to take him into custody and secure the children to safety.
Greene is facing several charges, however those will be released at a later time. The children have been returned to their mother and are confined to be physically unharmed.
The Amber Alert has been cancelled.

Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office are searching for two children who were taken by their father, 26 year-old, Walter Greene. An Amber Alert has been issued.

Deputies initially received the call at 8:19am regarding Greene assaulting the mother of the two children at an address on Roberts Road, in Simpsonville.

Following the assault, Greene took 3 month-old, Majesty Greene and 1 year-old, Paradyce Greene and got into the victim's 2016 black Jeep Cherokee (SC tag:SGF636) and drove away. The vehicle is said to have fender damage to the front driver's side of the vehicle.

Greene has an active order of protection against the mother of his children as well as the two children he took and he is described as a black male, 5'10"/145lbs with long twists.

The children were clothed in the same clothing shown in the recently taken photographs. We ask for anyone who sees Greene, the children or the vehicle, to call 911 immediately.
