An Upstate man is in custody after a weekend murder in Anderson County. The incident happened Saturday night on Woodmont Circle in the Homeland Park Community.
Investigators say a fight between the suspect, Matthew J. Richey and an another person resulted in the victim's death. The Anderson County Coroner's Office has not yet released the identity of the victim.
The Sheriff's Office says, Richey has cooperated with the investigation and turned himself in following the incident. Richey is charged with murder and a weapons violation.
