A SLED investigation leads to more charges after a 2025 at SC State University shooting. Another person. has been charged in connection with a pair of shootings on the campus of SC State University last October.
On Wednesday, SLED charged 19-year-old Deon David Savage with possession of a firearm on school property, breach of peace aggravated in nature, and pointing a firearm at a person. He was booked into the Orangeburg County Detention Center.
Earlier this year, in May, 18-year-old Darrell Lee Goss Jr. was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm, carrying or displaying a firearm on school property, and breach of peace aggravated in nature.
19 year old Jaliyah Butler was killed in the shootings. Another man was injured and airlifted to the hospital.
