A suspect is in custody after he held a victim at gunpoint during a carjacking at an Upstate apartment complex, earlier this month.
As we previously reported, the Spartanburg Police Department to an armed carjacking at Kensington Manor Apartments, January 2nd. The victim told police he was doing an Uber Eats delivery when he exited his vehicle looking for the apartment.
That's when the suspect pulled a handgun and put it to the victim's head. The suspect now identified as 34 year old Ryan Maquese Bennett of Inman. then reportedly stole the victim's vehicle and wallet before fleeing the scene.
Bennett was arrested Thursday night at Kensington Manor. He's charged with carjacking, armed robbery, and a weapons violation.
