One person is dead and a suspect is in custody after a fatal shooting in Spartanburg County, Wednesday . Deputies responded to a reported shooting in the area of South Main Street in the Clifton Community, around 345 yesterday afternoon.
Upon arrival, the victim was found in the yard near the scene. The victim was later pronounced dead, he's been identified as 34 year old, Tyrice Eugene Ervin of Boiling Springs.
The Sheriff's Office says the suspect Dontae Keshawn Elliott admitted to shooting the victim. He was then arrested and charged with murder and a weapons violation.
Investigators believe the two men knew each other, but they have not determined a motive for the shooting, as of the time of this report.
