An Anderson man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter in the roadway., Sunday night. That collision occurred on Jackson St on the westside of Anderson. The crash happened near the Highway 28 Bypass, just after 7PM.
55 year old Robert Lewis Milton was riding that scooter when he was struck by the driver of 2021 Chevy Sedan. Milton was taken to an Anderson hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the Chevy fled the scene, but was later located and arrested. That suspect's name has not been made public, at this time. The Coroner's Office and the Highway Patrol are investigating.
