Authorities have made an arrest in the shooting death of a teenage mother in the Upstate. On Monday, Simpsonville Police and SLED agents arrested 22 year-old, Akevius Dayquan Lindsey in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Genesys Elizah Rice, at the Jasmine Cove Apartments on Sunday.
Simpsonville police have charged Lindsey with murder, first-degree domestic violence and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Lindsey was taken to the Greenville County Detention Center and is
scheduled to appear in a Greenville County courtroom for a bond hearing, Tuesday afternoon.
