The Anderson County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man for a deadly motel room shooting last Tuesday night.
Deputies have charged Joshua K Swinford with Manslaughter in that shooting last week at the Baymont by Wyndham on Interstate Boulevard in Anderson.
Warrants state that Swinford was recklessly handling a loaded pistol that went off with a bullet striking Kayla Hamby in the head. She was airlifted to a hospital in Greenville, but died last Thursday afternoon.
The Sheriff's Office says that investigation continues.
