An arson investigation is ongoing after a fire at an event venue in Western North Carolina, Friday afternoon. Firefighters responded to a fire at the Stompin' Ground Dance Hall in Maggie Valley.
Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control shortly after arriving. The Haywood County Fire Marshals Office and Maggie Valley Police Department then began investigating the incident as an arson.
Police say, a person of interest has been determined but they have not released any further information and no arrests have been announced, as of the time of this report.
