A Blacksburg man will spend a decade behind bars for his role in an Upstate drug trafficking ring.
Court records say 46 year old, Daniel Mac Wentz was found with over three ounces of meth and a loaded pistol during a traffic stop in Spartanburg County, last year.
A federal investigation was then launched and found that Wentz was part of a larger scale drug ring. He pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to distribute meth.
Wentz has prior convictions on charges ranging from drug distribution, assault with intent to kill, and multiple weapons violations. He's been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.
