Police in Western North Carolina are investigating after a body was found floating down a river there, earlier this week. The Asheville Police Department says, kayakers reported seeing the body in he French Broad River around 1 PM, Wednesday afternoon.
Personnel from the Asheville Police Department retrieved the body from the river. The North Carolina Medical Examiner's Office is working to identify the body, they did say the deceased is a white male.
This comes after the body of a missing man named Phillip Shelton was found in the Madison County end of the French Broad River in March.
