The body of a wanted fugitive was found at an Upstate home.
Thursday morning, the U.S. Marshals issued a statement saying the body of wanted fugitive Frederick Cecil McLean was found earlier this month in Oconee County. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office says on Nov. 6th a concerned neighbor found his body. On Nov. 15th Mclean’s identity was determined, it was also determined he had been on the run from law enforcement for over 16 years.
Mclean was wanted in San Diego California for multiple counts of sexual assault against a child. A warrant was issued for Mclean in 2005, The U.S. Marshals listed him as a wanted fugitive in 2006. He died at the age of 70.
