They say two things are absolute in life death and taxes, however, some Greenville County residents are starting to feel like their being taxed to death.
Greater Greenville Sanitation is requesting that the County Council approve a bond to build a new facility.
The estimated cost of the project is 34.5 million dollars. The tax increase would be nearly 5 mills which would be an increase of nearly 30% in mill usage.
The bond requested in for around 34 million dollars which would not fully cover the cost of the new facility. However, that is below the threshold that would require a public vote.
