An Upstate woman is in custody after a police chase that started in Oconee County ended in North Georgia graveyard. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office tried to stop a woman who was driving on I-85, Tuesday night.
The driver refused to stop and led deputies on a chase across the state line into Georgia. When the chase reached Franklin County officers from the Lavonia Police Department joined the pursuit. The woman then drove into a cemetery and damaged several graves .
She then got out of the vehicle and tried to run on foot, but was taken into custody. The driver has been identified as 23 year old Cheyenne Nicole Collier of West Union.
