A child has been hospitalized after being attacked by dogs in Western North Carolina. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office says a 12 year old boy was riding his bike when multiple dogs came along and attacked him.
The incident happened Saturday, but deputies say they weren't made aware of it until Monday. The boy suffered serious injuries and will have to undergo multiple surgeries.
The Sheriff's Office says that no charges have been filed against the owners of the dogs, as of Thursday morning. The District Attorney is set to decide if charges will be filed, as the investigation continues.
