One person is dead after a massive fire Thursday at a building that was under construction in Charlotte. WBT in Charlotte is reporting that 30 year old, Demonte Sherill died after the apartment building caught fire.
As we previously reported, fire crews were able to rescue fifteen workers from a building that was under construction in the city's Southpark Community.
The five alarm blaze broke out Thursday morning, after a foam spraying machine reportedly caught on fire on the second floor and the flames spread throughout the building.
Sherill was one of two workers who were not immediately accounted for Thursday afternoon. His death was confirmed by his family, Thursday night. He was a father of four children ranging in ages from 5 to 13.
As of the time of this report, one worker who was in the building is still unaccounted for. Demonte Sherill uploaded a social media video while trapped in the burning building, you can see that video below.
