The immigration protest in Downtown Greenville, Sunday afternoon came to a crashing halt, literally. The Greenville Police Department says, a man participating in the protest crashed his car into a parked vehicle, while trying to do a burnout.
The collision happened at the intersection of South Main and East Broad Streets, while protesters gathered to voice their issues with ICE deportations.
Police say, 20 year old Cesar Maldonado-Lopez has been charged with reckless driving, not having a state driver's license and a seatbelt violation. Two people sitting in the parked vehicle were injured and were transported to the hospital.
