An Upstate restaurant has lost its business license after a murder there, last month. On Monday, The Greenwood City Council voted unanimously to uphold revoking the business license for the Uptown Grill.
As we previously reported, police responded to a shooting at Uptown Grill just before 2AM on March 22nd that left 41 year old, Knowledge Shakur dead. Police have arrested the suspect in that case, Maurice Tyrone Chisholm.
Officials say a large fight at the restaurant broke out which led to the shooting. The council had been in the process of revoking Uptown's business license prior to the deadly shooting, but the incident was the last straw making the decision clear.
