It was nearly packed house at the Historic Greer Depot as WORD hosts Tara Servatius and Charlie James moderated the event, hosted by the 4th District Republican Club.

Attorney General Alan Wilson served as special guest and when asked what is the main role of the AG, Wilson responded "Chief Defender of our Constitution."

The evening opened with a word of prayer then Naylah Campechano graced the crowd with her rendition of Bethel Music's "Goodness of God." Sunrise Carolina host, Joey Hudson, led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance then Campechano returned to the stage to sing our National Anthem.

Prior to the forum Attorney General Wilson paid tribute to the late Charlie Kirk and lauded his conviction in reaching out to college students saying he loved what he stood for and that college is a place where students go "to learn how to think critically and to not suffer from confirmation bias."

Attorney General Alan Wilson is also on the campaign trail, seeking the Republican nomination for governor in next year’s election. Wilson says his focus is to learn what South Carolinians want "their governor to do for the state and for them."

The Historic Greer Depot, located at 300 Randall Street in Greer, SC, was built in 1913. Joni Lever, Venue Manager, shared the 112 year old building still houses its original floors and rafters. The only modern touch is the venues lighting.
