The Highway Patrol reports one person was killed in a Pickens County collision just before 3:30PM Friday afternoon.

Master Trooper Brandon Bolt reports the driver of 1993 Grumman postal delivery vehicle was driving too fast for conditions on North Highway 11 near Little Eastatoee Road about 9 miles north of Pickens and was struck by 2000 Peterbilt Dump Truck, then ran off the roadway and into a ditch.
The driver of the mail truck died at the scene. The driver of the Peterbilt was not injured. That collision remains under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol.
