What started as a traffic stop in the Upstate, resulted in the seizure of guns and drugs. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on I-85.
Deputies report, that the driver later identified as Rick Petty, drove into the oncoming lanes of traffic, then exited the vehicle and ran on foot. A K-9 unit was used to help track Petty. He was found hiding in a field.
A search of the suspect turned up 2 pistols, over 40 grams of crack, more than 20 grams of Heroin, 10 grams of powder cocaine and nearly 20 fentanyl pills.
He faces a list of charges including including the trafficking of 3 different drugs, failure to stop for blue lights and multiple weapons violations.
