An elderly Upstate man could spend the rest of his prison after trying to kidnap a young girl.
The 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office says 69 year old, Robert Daniel Mistretta of Greenville pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted kidnapping, Wednesday.
Court records say Mistretta tried to snatch a little girl out of her mother's arms at Westcliffe Elementary School in Greenville, in 2023.
After a struggle the mother was able to fight the man off. Mistretta has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison
