Evette joined the Charlie James Show Thursday with her reaction. Evette said "Where is the faculty and why aren't the true facts coming out? President Trump has done more for HBCU's than any other President in history. The Governor and I have always put an emphasis on them (HBCU's) always being in the mix with our other colleges and universities"
The issue the students seemed to have is Evette's anti-DEI stance, to which she firmly responded " Any state institution that gets taxpayer dollars that pushes DEI and pushes conservatives off their campus, I will fight to make sure their funding is taken away".
The recent comments and stance on DEI from Evette comes after many critics and political opponents have stated that Evette ran a company that promoted and profited from DEI programs.
