A fatal collision in Spartanburg County.
Trooper Joe Hovis with Highway Patrol reports the wreck happened this morning at 8:10 a.m. on 1-26 E near SC 49.
A freightliner dump truck pulling a low boy trailer was slowing in traffic when it was hit by a Ford minivan. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured. The driver of the minivan was taken by EMS to Spartanburg Regional. The passenger of the minivan was seatbelted and entrapped in the van and had to be mechanically extracted. They died at the scene.
