A Pickens County medical facility was evacuated early Wednesday morning due to a roof fire. Firefighters responded to blaze just after midnight at the AnMed Health Cannon community hospital in Pickens.

Several patients were evacuated, the rest were discharged. It took fire fighters about two hours to clear the scene and determine the fire was completely extinguished. No injuries were reported. No word yet on what started the fire.
