Two former detention officers have been charged in a plot to bring contraband into an Upstate jail.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office says 25 year old Christopher Randall Duncan and 26 year old Darius Michael Fuller have been arrested in connection to the smuggling plot.
Investigators say the suspects attempted to smuggle marijuana, cigarettes and vapes into the jail. Reportedly, the plot was that 21 year old Vanessa Renee Addy of Gaffney would pose as a delivery worker and would bring a bag with contraband to a guard, who would slip it to an inmate.
Addy has been arrested for furnishing contraband, four inmates were also arrested in connection to the plot.
