A former 911 operator in the Upstate has been charged with misconduct in office following an investigation.
SLED recently announced the charges against Brooklyn McDaniel of Pacolet, which were filed on March 22nd following an investigation requested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, evidence was found that indicated McDaniel provided access to the county police computer system used by Cherokee County E911 and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
McDaniel was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
