A former Upstate Deputy is facing charges after a SLED investigation. 29 year old, Avery Dean Hand was arrested Friday on charges of misconduct in office and disclosing confidential information.
Hand worked the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office from April of 2021 until he was terminated in May of 2023. The Sheriff's Office says they called SLED in to investigate.
