Four people are being treated for burns suffered in a fire at a Spartanburg recycled fibers plant. Firefighters were dispatched to Innovative Fibers on Littlejohn Street near Blackstock Road about 10:30 Monday morning.
The fire was extinguished quickly, but two of the injured workers had to be flown to the burn treatment center in Augusta. The other two are being treated locally. OSHA is joining the fire department's investigation. An employee was killed in an accident at the same plant in January when a machine was started by a coworker who didn't realize he was repairing it.
