Renovation plans at The Well, appear to be moving ahead. At Tuesday nights Greenville County Council voted to move forward with the funding plan... to the tune of $150 million.
This is councils' first reading on the renovation project at Bon Secour Wellness Arena. Taxpayer dollars would be needed in order to fund the improvements, which must be approved through County Council.
Upgrades to "The Well" would include concession stands, restrooms, ADA amenities, seating, acoustics, and technology. "Back-of-house" upgrades include locker rooms, the loading dock and a freight elevator.
The Arena hasn't seen any major upgrades since it opened in 1998. A public hearing on the Renovation project will be held by Greenville County Council at a later date.
