A Georgia man has been sentenced to prison for his role in a staged robbery of a bank truck, in South Carolina's Low Country. The U.S. Department Of Justice says 28 year old, Terry Tyron Pollard of Cedartown, GA has been convicted on charges of bank larceny and conspiracy.
Court records show that Pollard and other conspired with a Garda employee to rob a bank truck in North Charleston, back in 2021.
Pollard and his co-horts pretended to hold the driver (who was in on it) at gunpoint, they then loaded nearly 2 million dollars into trash bags and fled to Georgia.
Pollard later posted a video on Snapchat showing him holding stacks of money. He was arrested shortly thereafter and in a recorded phone call from jail told an associate to delete his phone records.
Pollard has been sentenced to just over 5 years in federal prison.
