An education software company that serves thousands of schools nationwide suffered a data breach, last month.
PowerSchool was the victim of the breach and personal information of students and faculty at schools in multiple states were affected. WRAL News in Raleigh says some school districts in North Carolina were affected.
Greenville County Schools also are Powerschool users. However, they said in a statement that none of the data from their schools were compromised. GCS Spokesman Tim Waller says the District limits PowerSchool's access to data and that security measure protected their data.
