An Upstate school district is looking for help in their transportation department. Greenville County Schools will be holding a job fair next week. The event is focused solely on transportation, as the district looks to hire bus drivers and bus aides.
The job fair is set for Tuesday June 14th from 9AM to Noon at the Golden Strip Career Center, located at 1120 East Butler Road. The District has recently announced increases in pay for transportation employees.
Effective July 1st, the starting pay for drivers will be from $19 to $21.26 per hour. Starting pay for bus aides will be $15.06 to $16.56 per hour. Benefits will also be available for employees who were 30 or more hours per week.
