Released by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies with Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3186 N McElhaney Rd in reference to a house fire.
Deputies received a call at 9:56pm when a female called her neighbor and advised that her house was on fire. The neighbor then went in to the home that was on fire in an attempt to get the female out of the home. Both individuals suffered severe burns as a result of the fire. Both were airlifted to the hospital.
The investigation is still in its preliminary stages and more information will be provided once it becomes available.
