A Georgia man has been suspended to a quarter century behind bars for shooting his ex-girlfriend at an Upstate gas station in 2023. The 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office says, 27 year old Justin Makario Jackson pleaded guilty to charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, aggravated domestic violence and other crimes, Monday.
Court records say, Jackson kidnapped the woman at gunpoint and drove her to a QT store in Greer. While there the woman tried to run for help. Jackson then shot her multiple times and drove away in her vehicle. He was arrested a couple of days later in the Savannah, Georgia area.
Jackson has been sentenced to 25 years in the South Carolina Department Of Corrections.
