South Carolina is looking to advance its already substantial automotive industry footprint. Governor McMaster was in Greenville Thursday, to host an electric vehicle summit. The Governor announced that he has signed an executive order that will create a working group to collaborate on that plan. An electric vehicle coordinator will also be designated at the state level. McMaster believes that South Carolina is ahead of many states in being able to produce electric vehicles. The Governor's comments from the event are below.
