The skyrocketing costs of liquor liability insurance has been a focal point for many around the Palmetto State. The house and state senate seem to have come to a compromise that would address the issue.
Greenville based Attorney Rob Ianuario joined Straight Talk with Bill Frady and weighed in on the issue. Ianuario applauded the work of the statehouse late in this session to reach a compromise.
The matter has now been taking up by the State Senate, however this legislative session closes, Thursday.
The new legislation would still require bars and restaurants to carry a million dollars worth of liquor liability insurance, However, establishments can qualify for deep discounts for closing before midnight, server training and taking other steps.
