Earlier this week, the 12 new voting districts were finalized by the Greenville County Council. The vote passed the council unanimously and the new districts will remain intact until at least after the 2030 census.
The new district lines reflect the population growth in the southern parts of Greenville County. Those areas include Simpsonville, Mauldin, Fountain Inn and Five Forks.
The council says the new districts are an effort to balance the representation of population growth and keeping core areas in all of the new districts. You can find a map of the new districts at https://www.greenvillecounty.org/Council/RedistrictingMaps/CountywideRedistricting_Jan13.pdf
