An Upstate teenager is dead after a shooting in North Georgia, Tuesday. The Hall County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Walker Drive near Georgia Highway 13 around 4:30 PM.
When investigators arrived bystanders were administering 1st aid to the victim. He was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, where he later died from his injuries.
The Hall County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 18 year old, Junior Gabriel Linares of Greenville.
Deputies say a handgun was recovered from the scene of the incident.
As of the time of this report, there's been arrests or charges announced in connection to the shooting and no further details on the incident have been released.
