In a media briefing Tuesday, Officials with the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport announced that the runway will undergo repaving beginning in late July of next year.
The last repaving project was in 2009. The three phase project will require some overnight closures in Phase 1 and Phase 3. Two full runways closures will occur in Phase 2 next September and will last for 72 hours each.
GSP plans to keep travelers informed with social media releases and paid advertisements as the time nears for the project. Updates will be posted on their website gspairport.com/trip.
