A suspect in Western North Carolina is in custody after trying to outrun police on an e-bike.
The Asheville Police Department says the suspect 45 year old, Eric Lee Anderson was arrested after he tried to flee officers on an electric bike, last Thursday night. Police say while leading officers on a chase Anderson threw a bag off the bike.
The bag contained over 7 grams of fentanyl, a gram of crack and less than a gram of meth. Anderson was then arrested for trafficking fentanyl, multiple drug possession charges, and resisting arrest. Anderson is being held without bond due to having multiple previous convictions.
